The Nimba County Administration’s central office in Sanniquellie has disclosed distribution of motorcycles to several districts commissioners in the county .
Speaking to the Inquirer, Darius Vaye, county human resource officer further disclosed that the local administration has purchased twenty motorcycles for commissioners assigned at various districts in Nimba .
According to HR Vaye, distribution of the motorcycles is ongoing at the office of the county procurement director.
“I want you to contact the procurement office , the office staff will provide you detail information about the exercise, ” HR Vaye said .
When this paper contacted Amos Gbatu , one of the commissioners assigned in Bain -Garr via mobile phone, he confirmed receipt of a new motorbike from the county administration.
“Yes twenty commissioners were called in Sanniquellie to come and sign for new motorbikes” Bain-garr commissioner Gbatu stated .
When this paper contacted madam Chris Joe , commissioner of Doe – administrative district in Tappita via mobile phone , she further confirmed receiving a new motorbike from the county administration.
When this paper contacted the county procurement director Joemax R. Nyantoe, said the administration of the county has purchased and distributed twenty motorbikes to twenty assigned commissioners in the county .
He added, “19 commissioners , one relieving commissioner , received new motorbikes , ” procurement director Nyantoe revealed.
” The total cost of the motorbikes is US$ 22,000 and I will send you the name of the company that won the bid,” Director Nyantoe intimated. However, Nyantoe never send the name of the company that won the bid and is supplying the motorbikes to the county administration up to press time.
