The Liberia National Fire Service (LNFS) is proud to announce a substantial US$250,000 donation from the International Training Group of Companies and the International Training Force.
This contribution marks a significant milestone in the effort to enhance the capabilities and safety of Liberia’s firefighting personnel.
The generous support includes the provision of critical Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for frontline firefighters, aimed at safeguarding them during high-risk emergency operations.
In addition, the International Training Force, under the leadership of Mr. Patrick McDermott and Mr. Tyrone Jarret, has donated a state-of-the-art 65-inch Smart Board to the LNFS Academy.
This technology will greatly improve the quality and effectiveness of classroom training for fire service personnel.
LNFS Director G. Warsuwah Barvoul, lauded the donation as a “major investment in firefighter safety and preparedness,” and expressed his deep gratitude for the ongoing international collaboration.
Special recognition was given to Mr. Garcon Morweh and Chief Prince N. Kiepea, co-heads of the International Training Group, for their steadfast commitment to firefighter training, public safety, emergency management, and disaster readiness.
The LNFS also acknowledged the invaluable advocacy of Speaker Richard Nagbe Koon, himself a fire survivor, for his consistent support of stronger fire services in Liberia.
Thanks were extended to Senator Debah Mabande Varpilah, who reaffirmed her dedication to public safety during the recent ALWDO conference in the United States, as well as to Representative Samuel N. Brown for his unwavering efforts to advance safety standards across the country.
“This donation is a testament to what we can achieve through partnership and shared commitment,” said Director Barvoul. “Together, we are building a safer, more resilient Liberia.”
